Ingredients
  

  • 5 –6 croissants torn into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 ½ cups shredded cheese cheddar, gruyère, or a mix
  • 1 cup diced ham cooked sausage, or mushrooms
  • 3 large eggs
  • 2 cups milk
  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp fresh thyme or chopped parsley optional
  • 2 tbsp butter melted (for greasing the dish)

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 180°C / 350°F and butter a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  • Layer croissant pieces with cheese and meat/veggies. Sprinkle herbs on top.
  • Whisk eggs, milk, cream, salt, and pepper. Pour over croissants, pressing gently to soak.
  • Bake 35–40 minutes, until set and lightly golden.
  • Let rest 5–10 minutes before serving.

  • Serve warm as a standalone dish or with a side salad.
  • Make ahead: assemble the night before and bake in the morning.
