Apple Walnut Oatmeal

Healthy and delicious oatmeal topped with sweet cinnamon apples and maple yogurt.
Give yourself a great start to the day with this simple recipe.
Can be easily doubled to make a bigger batch to have over a few days. Sooo good
Servings 2

Instructions
 

In a medium bowl, combine

  • 3/4 cup regular oats
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tablespoon of ground flax (optional)
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • pinch of salt

Add to the above dry ingredients

  • 1 beaten egg
  • 2 tablespoons of coconut oil
  • 2 tablespoons of maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup plant milk
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup
  • Mix together until combined
  • Add 1/4 cup chopped walnuts
  • Pour it into a small oven proof dish and top with sliced cinnamon apples
