Pumpkin Scones
In a large bowl mix wet ingredients
1/2 cup pumpkin puree
3 tablespoons milk or cream
1 large egg
1 tsp vanilla
In a medium bowl combine dry ingredients:
2 cups flour
3/4 cup sugar
1 tablespoon baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp pumpkin spice
Cube 6 tablespoons cold butter and work into dry ingredients
with a pastry blender.
Mix dry ingredients into wet and gently stir just until
it comes together. Do not overmix!
On a lightly floured surface, form the dough into a circle
Cut into wedges and brush each scone with cream
Bake at 375 degrees for 20 minutes
